Credential Policy

As we strive to provide a first-class experience for all our club members, we would like to update you on the Provident Bank Stadium Club credential policy for the 2024 football season. We thank you in advance for your cooperation as we implement this new process. Below, you will find additional information about this year's credential policy. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

  • To facilitate your experience, your credential(s) will provide access to the club for the entirety of the 2024 season; you will NO LONGER receive single-game credentials unless you purchased additional tickets for single games. If you DID purchase additional tickets, they will be available to pick up at the check-in table inside the Club on the day of that respective game and will be left under the name of the original account holder.
  • IF YOU TRANSFER YOUR CLUB TICKETS FOR ANY GAMES, YOUR GUEST(S) WILL BE LEFT SINGLE-GAME CREDENTIALS AT THE CHECK-IN TABLE INSIDE THE CLUB ON THOSE GAME DAYS UNDER THE NAME OF THE ORIGINAL ACCOUNT HOLDER.
  • Your credential is designated for YOU AND ONLY YOU (and other members on your account), therefore you should NOT give your credential to individual(s) who you elect to give certain single-game tickets to.
  • While credentials are required for entry into the club, your digital tickets are still required to enter SHI Stadium at any gate, as well as the club entrance.
  • Gold and Silver credentials provide full access to the interior of the Provident Bank Stadium Club and amenities provided.
  • For Gold memberships, guests must have both their gold credential and loge box digital ticket for access to both the Club and loge box areas.
  • For Silver memberships, guests must have both their silver credential and individual seat digital ticket to access the outdoor seating area.
  • Club members must wear their credentials at all times.
  • For re-entry, you must provide both your credential and ticket.
Mobile Ticket & Scarlet Knights App

In an effort to encourage a safe environment for fans, as well as improve the ease of entry into the stadium, Rutgers continues to use mobile tickets, which can be added to an Apple Wallet or Google Wallet app. Digital tickets provide for contactless entry, which can speed up entry time into the venue and also offers a secure means to transfer and exchange tickets. Representatives from the Rutgers ticket staff will be on hand to help assist customers with any digital ticket-related matters. Fans will also receive mobile parking passes that they can manage like their digital tickets. Fans are encouraged to download mobile tickets and parking passes to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet apps prior to arriving at the stadium.

Download the new and improved Scarlet Knights App, available on iOS and Android phones. Fans will need the app to manage their game day tickets. The Scarlet Knights App also features news, updates and push notifications for the latest events and information for all Rutgers Athletics programs.

If you need any assistance with your mobile tickets, please visit our Mobile Ticketing FAQ page to view a step by step video on how to upload tickets to your phone and how to transfer tickets.

*NEW* 2024 SHI Stadium Security Enhancements & Bag Policy
Rutgers will introduce security enhancement at all SHI Stadium gates with the implementation of a new walk-through weapons detection system. Fans are advised to arrive early to ensure a smooth entry into the stadium before kickoff. The system, familiar to spectators who have attended other events in the region, does not require individuals to empty their pockets to enter. Those attending the event are asked to follow the instructions of public safety personnel.

*Fire Restrictions - Rutgers vs. Illinois
Please note that due to the current mandatory statewide fire restrictions, all fires, unless contained in an elevated stove using only propane, natural gas, or electricity, are prohibited. No wood or charcoal fires are allowed, and the use of kerosene or gas torches of any kind is prohibited while this level of restriction is in place. The fire ban is in place on all public lands and private properties in all municipalities throughout New Jersey.

*UPDATED 9/25/24*
Fans will see an improved entry process at SHI Stadium for the remainder of the season. During our efforts to amplify safety measures at SHI Stadium, we've seen these changes present increased congestion at stadium gates and longer than expected wait times. Through the feedback we received in our postgame surveys from season ticket holders, fans and guests, the following adjustments will take effect immediately:
  • Fans are permitted to enter ALL gates with an approved clear bag (click here to view bag policy)
  • Fans are permitted to walk through the weapons detection system with an approved clear bag
  • All bags are subject to search upon request by public safety personnel
  • Individuals with medical exception bags will need to enter at the North ADA Gate or the West Gate A (Media Entrance).
Rutgers Athletics maintains a strict bag policy. Handbags, purses larger than a clutch bag, backpacks, drawstring bags, fanny packs, camera bags, and more are prohibited from the stadium. Safety is always Rutgers Athletics top priority. If at all possible, we encourage fans to leave bags at home to expedite their entry experience!
